Arco 2024

It’s that time of year again, another birthday approaching and another Arco Art Fair, 185 galleries from more than 30 countries taking part with works by more than 1,300 international artists. It’s €40 a ticket which is a lot of money but I was hoping to pick up some Frederic Malle perfume samples which my friend Mac got at last years event. We made a beeline straight to the stand and were disappointed to find the samples were only 1ml as opposed to 7ml last year. Anyway this is an art blog and I am not a perfumista so on with my favourite artists. happy to see a lot of paintings this year. I missed a lot of it I think, 4 hours is not enough to cover the entire area. I wish the entrance gave access for all the days but to be honest one trip there is quite exhausting.

My top pick this year is Spanish artist Fernando Clemente represented by Gallery Rafael Ortiz whose work reminds me of Amy Sillman (who is also featured in my favourites, keep scrolling!)
